FR4 board is a code name for the grade of flame-retardant material. It represents a material specification that the resin material must be able to extinguish by itself after burning. It is not a material name, but a material grade. Therefore, there are many types of FR-4 grade materials used for pcb, but most of them are composite materials made of so-called Tera-Function epoxy resin, Filler and glass fiber.

Aluminum pcb circuit boards make up for the shortcomings of FR-4 boards and ceramic substrates, have longer durability, and avoid board cracks caused by production and transportation.

Higher performance. The circuit layer of the aluminum-based PCB board is etched to form the circuit. Compared with the traditional FR-4 pcb board, under the same line width, thickness, etc., the current carried by the aluminum pcb is higher than that of the FR-4 pcb board.

Wildfire, or: the locked door

I slammed into the door with my shoulder as hard as I could. It didn’t budge. “Damnit!” I shouted.

Inside the bedroom, Eric tinkered with his machine. “Okay, it should work now,” he said. He handed the princess a harness tied to one of the machine’s ropes. “Strap yourself in and I’ll lower you to the ground.”

I screamed and kicked the lock. Eric rolled his eyes and walked over to the door. “Having some trouble?” Eric said.

“When I open this door I’m going to throw you out the window!” I shouted.

“You mean if you open the door.”

“No, I mean when I open the door.” I kicked the lock again.

“This door can was designed to keep me out, you aren’t going to open it with a kick,” Eric said.

I drew my sword and jabbed it in the crack between the wall and the door. I pushed as hard as I could, trying to use my sword as a lever and rip the door open. “Okay, that definitely isn’t going to work,” Eric said.

“You don’t know that,” I snapped.

“Yes, I do. Wanna know why you aren’t going to crowbar the door open? Because it opens inward, dumbass.”

I kicked the lock again. “I haven’t figured out yet, but I’m going to get this door open,” I shouted. “And when I do, I’ll make sure you never hurt the princess again!”

“I resent the assumption that I would hurt the princess, Ernest,” Eric said. “You have my word that no harm shall come to her after she leaves this tower.”

“Don’t lie to me! You’re an evil dark mage!”

“Evil is a strong word. The two of us have different ideals, yes, but don’t call me evil solely for that reason. I’m rescuing a girl locked away in isolation by her cruel father and you’re the one standing in my way. Which of us is really the evil one?”

“You are!”

Princess Tera walked to the door and looked at me through the grate. She’d strapped herself into the harness while Eric and I had been talking. “Please, Ernest, I’ve already decided to go with Eric,” she said. “Every day I spend in this tower saps a little bit more of my heart away. Soon, there will be nothing left in me to lose. Eric is my chance at the freedom I’ve always dreamed of.”

“He’s a dark mage, princess,” I said. “Your mother was killed by a dark mage! For fucks sake, your mother was killed by a dark mage named Darkholme!”

“Hey! I am many things, but I am nothing like that bastard,” Eric said.

“Please, Tera, open the door.”

She walked away without responding. I screamed and slammed my shoulder into the door again. Eric fired a blast of dark magic through the grate. I blocked it with my shield, but it still threw me backward. I landed next to Pollux.

From behind the door, I heard the sound of gears turning as Eric’s machine slowly lowered the princess to the ground. I rolled over onto my back. I glanced at Pollux.

Then I noticed it: Castor’s magic powder bag, hanging out of Pollux’s pocket. I grabbed it and rushed back to the door. My plan was to freeze the lock and kick it open. I crushed the entire bag in the palm of my hand.

A burning heat enveloped my hand as the magic powder burned my skin. Beams of light shot out from between my fingers. I’d never seen this happen when Cas used the powder. I released my grip and threw the bag at the door as hard as I could. It exploded on impact, shaking the entire tower and blasting open the locked door.

I drew my sword and stepped through the doorway. The princess was gone. Eric stood before me, holding a climbing axe in each hand. “Where is she?” I asked.

“She’s a third of the way to the ground,” Eric said.

“Bring her back up.”

“No. I’ll admit, my research is my main motivator here, but saving that girl is a good bonus. If you want to take her back, you’ll have to go through me.”

“Very well,” I said before sprinting towards Eric. I swung my sword and he caught it between his two axes. Dark runes appeared on his chest plate and a blast of dark energy shot out, knocking my back.

I lunged forward and struck Eric in the knee. As he fell forward, he smacked me in the face with one of his axes. I swung my sword down on him; it bounced off his helmet without doing any damage.

Dark magic runes, similar to the ones that had appeared on his chest moments earlier, appeared on the brow of his helmet. I knew he was about to fire another blast, so I kicked him in the face. The helmet spun around his head and fired a blast of dark energy behind Eric.

The blast struck Eric’s machine, knocking countless gears lose. “Uh oh,” Eric muttered while readjusting his helmet and sprinting towards the machine.

One of the ropes snapped in half. Eric leaped forward and grabbed the rope before it could fly out the window. The rope drug him towards the window; he braced himself against the wall beneath it to avoid being drug out.

I ran to the window and gazed down. The princess hung from the rope in Eric’s hands, dangling over certain doom. “Princess!” I shouted.

“You goddamn imbecile,” Eric muttered. “That machine was the only thing keeping Tera from falling to her death.

“You’re the one who was firing dark magic blasts!”

“And you’re the one who messed up my aim.”

“Yeah, but you’re the one who built the machine in the first place!”

Eric sighed. “Okay, this is solving nothing. Grab the rope and help me pull her back up,” he said.

“No!” the princess shouted through the darkness of the night. “Don’t pull me up. Don’t bring me back to that tower. Please, I beg you, lower me to the ground.”

I grabbed the rope. “Eric, is she closer to the ground or to this window?” I asked.

“The window, I think,” he said.

“Then we’ll pull her up.”

“You heard her, she doesn’t want to be pulled up.”

“Eric, every second she hangs raises the chances of her falling. We’re going to pull her up.”

Eric and I slowly pulled the rope back, bring the princess back to the tower she hated. “You tired yet?” Eric asked.

“Extremely. Those dark magic blasts, they took a lot out of me,” I said.

“Sorry about that,” Eric said. “How far up is Tera?”

“Forty feet, give or take.”

“I don’t think we’ll be able to pull her up those final forty feet, not with my exhaustion from the climb and your injuries from the fight.”

“Well, we don’t really have a choice, do we? Either we pull her up, or she dies.”

“There’s another solution. In my pockets, you’ll find a small case containing two syringes filled with a purple liquid. They contain a serum I made using dark magic and Tera’s blood. This syringe will increase my strength tenfold, enough to save Tera.”

“And then you’ll beat me up and take her away, right?”

“That’s the plan, yes. Which would you prefer, me giving her her freedom or her turning into a red puddle on the ground.”

I sighed. Slowly, keeping one hand on the rope, I grabbed a small case taped to the back of Eric’s armor. I opened it and grabbed one of the syringes. “What is this thing?” I asked.

“It’s for administering medication. Stab it in a vein and push the plunger down,” Eric said.

“What vein? You’re wearing plate mail,” I said.

“Take my helmet off and jab it in my neck.”

I lifted Eric’s helmet. His face, to my surprise, was completely covered in bandages, just as it had been during our first fight. Ignoring this, I jabbed the needle in Eric’s neck and pushed the plunger down.

With his newfound strength, Eric pulled faster, bringing up yards of rope in only a few seconds. Before long, the princess was close to the window. I reached my hand down. “Princess, take my hand,” I said.

She didn’t respond. Instead, she just hung there, crying. “I was so close,” she whispered.

Finally, she grasped my hand. As I pulled her up, her sleeves fell to her elbows, revealing to me the long scars over her wrists. I didn’t feel any joy as I pulled the princess back through the window.

I carried her to her bed and laid her down. “I’m sorry,” I said.

I looked back at Eric. He was lying on the ground, catching his breath. “I assume we’re going to go back to fighting in a moment,” he said.

“You know I have to,” I said. “You’re a dark mage who endangered the life of the princess. It’s my duty to defeat you.”

“Yeah, I figured.”

Eric put his helmet on and grabbed his axes. I drew my sword. “Can you do this outside?” the princess asked. “I’m not in the mood to see you two beat the shit out of one another.”

The fight began as soon as we stepped through the door. Eric swung at me with his axes, I ducked and swung at his head. He caught it and kicked me, sending me tumbling down the stairs. From the top of the tower, he fired blasts of dark energy at me, knocking me further and further down the stairs.

Eric leaped down, axes over his head, and brought them down on me. I tried to block them with my shield, but it shattered under the force of this blow. I swung my sword and Eric kicked me in the face, sending me toppling down another flight of stairs. I reached into my pocket and pulled out one of Eric’s syringes; I pocketed it while he was pulling the princess up.

I jabbed it on my neck. Before I could press the plunger down Eric threw one of his axes at the syringe, shattering it. He leaped forward and struck me with his other axe, knocking me to the ground.

Each blow from Eric felt stronger than the last. His serum worked wonders. Hell, even without it I didn’t stand a chance against him. I crawled to my feet and held my sword out in front of me. “Is that all you’ve got?” I muttered.

Eric blasted me again. He leaped, intending to strike me with his axes and knock me out. As he moved through the air, a rumbling sound echoed through the tower, the sound of shifting bricks. A fist came from a wall and struck Eric in the face.

The steps below me transformed, turning into a stone slide. I began to slip down, but a hand grabbed my foot, saving me. Eric, on the other hand, crashed behind me. He tumbled down the tower, banging into walls and gaining speed as he fell. He shot out the doorway at the bottom of the stairs and crashed into a brick wall hard enough to crack it. Castor, who was returning with a glass of warm milk, had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. He dropped the glass of milk and groaned.

The slide returned to its original staircase form. I looked up at the man holding my foot. It was Sterling. “How’s it going?” he asked.

“Sterling? What are you-”

“I decided to come back to town for a few days. Saw a girl hanging from the tower, figured you had something to do with it, and came to help.”

“Thank you,” I said. “If you hadn’t gotten here, it’s likely Eric would have beaten me and escaped, probably with the princess in tow.”

Sterling looked side to side and sighed. “Well, I should probably get going,” he said.

“What do you mean?”

“I’m not supposed to go near the princess, remember? I shouldn’t even be here right now.”

“But, you saved me! You saved the princess! I’m sure the King won’t care-”

Sterling shook his head. “Tell the others you took out Eric. Enjoy the glory that comes with,” he said.

With that, he placed his hand on the wall. The bricks slid away. He stepped through and was gone.
